The crash occurred as Holpp entered a left curve on the elevated Causeway Boulevard south on-ramp to I-10 east.

The motorcycle struck the concrete barrier wall and Holpp was ejected over the wall onto Causeway Boulevard. Holpp was pronounced dead at the scene. Louisiana State Police say she was wearing a DOT approved helmet and toxicology test will be performed.
