Report: Former Saintsation files discrimination lawsuit

Legal experts believe the former cheerleader may win if the team cannot show why women need to be protected more than men.

NEW ORLEANS -- A former Saintsation is suing the Saints' organization for discrimination.

According to a report from The New York Times, Bailey Davis filed a complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission when the team fired her in January. Davis claims the team sets different rules for men, primarily Saints players, and women, primarily the Saintsations.

According to the report the team accused Davis of violating team policy by appearing nude, semi-nude or in lingerie in an Instagram photo. In that photo, Davis is wearing a one-piece swimsuit on her private account.

Davis is also accused of being seen at a party with Saints players, another violation of team rules for their cheerleaders. Davis denies being at the party, according to the report.
