16-year-old arrested for robbing three people in New Orleans East, police say

The unnamed 16-year-old is the second teen arrested in the investigation.

NEW ORLEANS – Police say a second teen has been arrested in the investigation into an armed robbery in New Orleans East last month.

According to the New Orleans Police Department, the robbery happened on March 26 near the intersection of Crowder Boulevard and South I-10 Service Road. The 16-year-old was allegedly armed with a handgun when he and 17-year-old Andrew Stevens approached three people and demanded their property. The three victims complied and the two teens fled the scene.

Stevens was arrested on April 12. The 16-year-old was arrested Thursday after police conducted a search warrant on his home. Both were booked on three counts of armed robbery.
