A man wanted for a quintuple shooting in Lower Ninth Ward on Mardi Gras Day is now in custody, according to a New Orleans Advocate report.
The report says Kendall Barnes was booked Wednesday on two counts of murder and three counts of attempted murder for a shooting that happened near the corner of St. Claude Avenue and Andry Street.
Jamar Robinson, 26, and Byron Jackson, 21, died from injuries they sustained in the shooting. Three other people were hurt.
The New Orleans Advocate reports that an eyewitness identified Barnes in a six person lineup as “a shooter.” A warrant was issued for his arrest on March 12.
