The Who Dat Nation won Super Bowl Sunday

You'll have to see it to believe it.

NEW ORLEANS — While viewers around the country were underwhelmed by a low-scoring Super Bowl, Saints fans around the city united to party out their frustrations in absolutely epic fashion.

From no-call second lines in the French Quarter and funeral processions for the Saints season on the Riverfront to black and gold car shows on the Lakefront and Roger Goodell-pinata smashing Uptown, the Who Dat Nation did just about anything but watch Super Bowl LIII.

They didn't miss much, either. After combining for just one touchdown all game, the New England Patriots defeated the Los Angeles Rams 13-3 in the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. It's Tom Brady and Bill Belichick's sixth championship victory together.

For most viewers, it was the 'Boring Bowl.'

But Saints fans wouldn't know. For them, it was all the "Asterisk Bowl," among many less kind nicknames. For them, it was all about the "Boycott Bowl," either in spirit or actually attending the Boycott Bowl event that featured local artists like rapper Chopper downtown.

Watch the Eyewitness News' coverage of Super Bowl Sunday in New Orleans to see just what the Saints' snubbed chance meant to the Whot Dat Nation and how it ultimately brought the community together.

Social media told the story as well: Block parties, Second Lines, ref dunking booths and so much Black and Gold attire
