NOPD: Suspect wanted in Christmas Night shootout

Surveillance video shows the man dual wielding handguns in a New Orleans East parking lot

NEW ORLEANS — Police are searching for a man who allegedly shot multiple occupied cars in a crowded parking lot on Christmas Night during a gunfight.

The incident was caught on surveillance video, which shows a man firing a handgun at another person across the bustling parking lot of an event hall in the 7300 block of Read Boulevard on Dec. 25.

According to police, after the first rounds were fired right before 11:00 p.m., a second person allegedly shot back. That's when video shows the man walking across the frame, holding two guns toward multiple cars before walking away from the scene in the Little Woods neighborhood of New Orleans East.
