Police are investigating a homicide in Metairie Thursday night.
According to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office, deputies were called to the 1200 block of Howard Avenue near Providence Memorial Park. When they arrived, they found a man wounded in the street with two shell casings on the ground nearby.
The victim was taken to University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
