NEW ORLEANS — A would-be victim inside a business fought back during a burglary in the East Sunday night, shooting and injuring the failed robber, initial police reports show.
According to NOPD officials, officers responded to a business burglary call around 8:35 p.m. in the 7500 block of Tara Lane in the West Lake Forest area of New Orleans East.
When they arrived, they found that the attempted burglar had been shot in the leg during the incident. According to initial reports, it was the would-be victim that pulled the trigger.
Police officials said the investigation into the case is in its very early stages and no additional information was available as of Sunday night.
