A woman was shot on Chef Menteur Highway, setting off a chain of events that ended in a car crash that injured two more people.
According to the New Orleans Police Department, Nicole Gioustovia shot a woman in the leg around 2:28 p.m. in the 14700 block of Chef Menteur Highway, near Old Gentilly Road.
According to preliminary reports from NOPD, the victim got into a car with two other women after being shot and attempted to go to the hospital, but the car crashed, injuring the other two women.
All three women are in stable condition, according to NOPD.
