NEW ORLEANS — Authorities arrested a suspect in a shooting that wounded a man in New Orleans last month.
The New Orleans Police Department said the shooting reportedly happened near the intersection of Green and Monroe streets on Sept. 18. Police say a man arrived at a hospital by car with a non-fatal gunshot wound to the arm.
According to the NOPD, Joseph Ancar, 25, was arrested in connection to the shooting about three weeks later, on Oct. 5. He was found during a traffic stop and booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center, where he faces charges for aggravated battery by shooting and a probation violation.
Officials said the incident was still under investigation.
